Week 9 Day 62: New Possibilities

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let

yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1

The faithful love of the Lord never ends![ His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; His mercies begin afresh each morning.

Lamentations 3: 22-23

Thank the Lord for a new day in Him.

For light, a hot drink, sleep, friends, food,

air to breathe, an ever present Abba Father, a Saviour, forgiveness of sin, times of rest, times of work, hobbies, music, clothes. Now you think of specific thanks...spend today being grateful. God is good.

1 Chronicles 16:34: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!

His faithful love endures forever.

Dear Lord, I thank you that you are a good and faithful God. I don't always thank you and I am definitely not very consistent in my walk with You. Thank you for Your grace and mercy towards me. Thank you for meeting my daily needs. I lift Your Name High today. You are a holy, worthy God. May I walk every moment faithfully with You today, remembering Your goodness to me. As we are beginning to transition in the Free! course to looking outward, I pray for my friends and family today. Please help me take my eyes off myself and my issues, and onto others. Please show me Your purposes for my life today. Amen.

Challenge: The two verses today are short and really good to memorise. Use them in your prayers of gratitude and praise today. You may find it helpful to write your own prayers of praise and thanksgiving. Maybe even listen to worship songs about giving thanks. Remember thankfulness expressed can really change your brain for good, creating new pathways leading to new habits.
