Week 9 Day 61: Unbalanced, Broken and Loved Anyway

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let

yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery."

Ponder:

Sometimes love breaks in, in tiny ways, almost hard to decipher, in the middle of the grime and fog. I remember the day John proposed to me. Did I deserve his love that day? No. Was I experiencing one of the most broken days of my life? Yes. He was willing to dedicate his life to me even on one of the most ugliest days of my life. That is love!

"For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard." Romans 3:23

I was going through yet another period in my life, where I could not make myself "feel or be" any better. I needed a rescuer. By the way, Christ had rescued me for salvation 21 years prior to this. I still needed, and still need a rescuer, every day, every moment of my life!

Action: I think the action today is about a rethink. It is allowing God, Abba Father, Jesus, to speak those words of "wooing us back to Himself" into your life! It is sitting in that place (remember yesterday) and sitting, not trying to work at being better but just talking with your Rescuer, who also happens to be God, Himself, with all the power you need today, to live in Him and for His most wonderful Name. Wow! Hear Him say to you, “Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!” Matthew 4:19. Maybe for the first time hear those words, "I will show you how."

Prayer: Lord, I need you to show me how to live in You and for You. I need to You to rescue me. I have tried so hard to be better and have simply failed time and time again. I am grateful that I can even come You today with this prayer. I desire to follow You, show me how...Amen

Challenge: Maybe today you could write your own prayer to Jesus, in that place where you meet with Him, and just be as real and honest as you know how to be. Ask Him to show you how to live for Him in your struggle with...... Every day is a new day! Great is Your faithfulness Oh Lord!
