Week 8 Day 54: As a Child

"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1

Ponder: I don't know about you but I have a deep desire to have a really close relationship with God, my Abba, Father. But am I really willing to stop being double minded?... Am I willing to come to Him on His terms and not my own?

James 4:8 "Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world." N.L.T

Action: Talk to God today, give Him your planning, your agendas, what is getting in the way, even your unbelief, frustrations and sin. Come to Him as a baby, let Him simply carry you on His terms. Just tell Him this is what you want. This is the door you need to walk through. This is real joy. Join me today by opening the door and courageously walking through. This doesn't mean you do nothing but you run to God first, talk to Him and trust Him to lead You.

Lord, I give you my life, I give give all my plans, projects, agendas, also my frustrations and habitual sins, I desire to be closer to you. Forgive me for wanting this on my terms and not Yours. Help me discover the narrow path to you, I don't want to be double minded anymore. I surrender my life to You, I trust you with my brokenness, my addictive issues....You are the way. Help me to talk to You first before I plan and set my own agendas. Amen

Challenge: Listen to the Message version of James 4: 7-10

So let God work his will in you. Yell a loud no to the Devil and watch him make himself scarce. Say a quiet yes to God and he’ll be there in no time. Quit dabbling in sin. Purify your inner life. Quit playing the field. Hit bottom, and cry your eyes out. The fun and games are over. Get serious, really serious. Get down on your knees before the Master; it’s the only way you’ll get on your feet.
