Week 3 Day 17: White as Snow
"It is for freedom that Christ has set you free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery". Galatians 5:1
TRIGGERS AND TEMPTATIONS
Ponder: This morning I woke up in the quietness of the day; it seemed brighter than usual. It had snowed! We do not get much snow in the west country of England. It felt special somehow. Everything looked cleaner and brighter for a while. My ponder began here with what God says in His word about snow:
"Come, let’s talk this over, says the Lord; no matter how deep the stain of your sins, I can take it out and make you as clean as freshly fallen snow. Even if you are stained as red as crimson, I can make you white as wool! Isaiah 1:18
As you wake up, as you journey today, remember the whiteness of fresh fallen snow, completely unstained and ponder the greatness of Christ and His gift to you.
Action: As you turn to Christ today, as you relate to your Abba, Father and rely on the power of the Spirit, thank Him for this gift multiple times throughout the day. Talk to Jesus, tell Him you do not want to fall into temptation today, thank Him that He has made your sins "as clean as freshly fallen snow," just as if you had never sinned. This is true freedom! The freedom Christ has paid for and wants for you!
Prayer: Lord, I pray today that you lead me not into temptation, let me not be "triggered" into using or acting out today. I need you. I need to remember to turn to you multiple times today. Let me know in a deeper way today that you have taken out the stain of my sins and I can walk today in You, clean as freshly fallen snow.
Challenge: Think of the above verse, say it out loud many times today. Ponder the words and ask God to speak to You through this verse today. It may be a good verse to memorise.
