Week 10 Day 69: He chose us....
"It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let
yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery." Galatians 5:1
Ponder: We are chosen! We then have choices; to believe, to follow, to love, to spend time with our Father... All of this is from the eternal foundation of being chosen, loved, accepted, adopted into our Abba's family! It is so freeing and wonderful to know that God chose us and knows us and has given us a way through the broken mess of our own humanity...He chose us knowing this. He loves us. Even writing this it is hard to accept. Let's run to God and ask Him to embed this truth into the depths of our heart, soul, and mind.
Ephesians 1:4 N.L.T.
Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes.
Action: As you go about your day, thank God, your Abba, Father for His love for you and that He has chosen you to be a part of His family. Think about the wonderful gifts He has given you. It may just be a glimpse today; something beautiful; a colour, a tree, something that is tasty to eat, a connection with a friend...A friend from Germany shared that today is her mum's 70's birthday and the sadness is that she cannot be there with her. She has turned this into gratitude for her mum being healthy, having family around her, and great memories. Thinking about being chosen and loved, how can you live and think differently today?
Prayer: Dear Abba, I am overwhelmed that You have chosen me to be a part of Your family. I cannot begin to comprehend this level of love. I pray today for more insight into this love that I know I do not deserve. Let this love so move me to reach out to those in need around me. Amen
Challenge: Maybe someone in your life needs to hear from you today. A phone call, a card, a walk in the park or an offer of help.
May God bless you today!
