The post today is a song/poem from a friend, who passed away in 2014. He had many issues and struggles in life, including a battle with life-controlling issues; drugs and alcohol with a significant anger problem. He had a holy desire to serve God, to live in Christ, yet sin got in the way time and time again.
Are we any different?

Well, I wanna forever serve You, I want so to obey
I wanna give You glory in all I do and say
I wanna depend on You livin’ day by day
I wanna do all these things O Lord but my flesh gets in the way.
I know You’ve got the power, I know that You are true
I know there’s no temptation that You can’t see me through

I know I do too much for me and not enough for You.
I need to be more willing, my Father unto Thee
I need to say no to sin instead of I agree
I need to share the Good News that Christ has set me free!
I need to live my life O Lord for You and not for me!
